Joseph Goody: Paintings
End Date: 30/09/2020
Goody avoids exclusively using brushes to make his painting, and instead uses objects from the studio; a shard of Perspex, a paint lid, off-cuts of wood. This introduces precise attributes, such as the size or width of a mark, that repeat in different instances throughout his work.
Goody explores the relationship that exsists between these forms, and the effect this repetition creates. Through this implied logic, system and order, the tension between different shapes and forms is highlighted.
Sid Motion Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of recent work by Joseph Goody.
